Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sushi Chef to join our team at Kinjo, a new high-profile restaurant in Brooklyn, NY. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality sushi dishes to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare sushi dishes according to our menu and recipes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and exceeding guest expectations.
  • Collaborate with our culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing ones.
  • Provide exceptional guest service, responding to feedback and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience as a Sushi Chef in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, including sushi preparation and presentation techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicating clearly and respectfully with colleagues.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred.
