Institutional Funding Specialist, Philanthropic Partnerships

About the Role
Graham Windham seeks a seasoned Institutional Giving Manager to join our team in Corporate and Government Relations. This key position plays a pivotal role in preparing foundation, corporate, and government grants and reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a strategic plan for foundation giving in collaboration with the Development team.
- Lead the preparation and writing of government proposals in response to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and discretionary opportunities.
- Write compelling foundation and other proposals and reports that align with Graham Windham's mission and values.
- Contract with and oversee consultants in the writing, editing, and timely submission of grant proposals.
- Coordinate with multiple departments to gather necessary data for proposals and reports.
- Work closely with the fiscal team to develop proposal budgets and reports.
- Fully adhere to grant guidelines, collaborate with initiative leaders to develop proposal content, prepare required attachments, and submit proposals in advance of deadlines.
- Conduct research on prospective foundation and corporate funders, engage in outreach efforts, and maintain effective relationships with current funders.
- Participate in foundation site visits, as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 6 years' experience in grants management and grant writing
- Experience writing proposals in response to government RFPs
- Professional experience in youth development, workforce development, community organizing, family support preferred
- Experience achieving fundraising results
- Outstanding writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Must be hospitable, flexible, a team player, and passionate about social justice and working with children, youth, and families
- Willingness to travel throughout NYC, as needed.
Compensation
The estimated salary range for this position is $95,000/year, exempt from overtime pay, and eligible for benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, career coaching, and more.
