About the Role

As a Nurse Specialist in our Oncology Multidisciplinary Center at Prisma Health, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and advancing the field of oncology nursing. Our vision is to transform healthcare for the benefit of the communities we serve.

Job Summary

This rewarding position involves providing compassionate and individualized care to patients undergoing various therapies, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiation therapy. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless coordination of care and excellent patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient needs and develop personalized care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by medical staff
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient encounters, treatment plans, and outcomes
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote evidence-based practices and quality improvement initiatives
  • Participate in educational programs and workshops to stay current with advances in oncology nursing
  • May be required to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina
  • At least one year of experience in oncology nursing or a related field; OR completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program or a comparable residency program from another organization
