About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Teller Trainee to join our team at the Somerville Union Branch. As a Teller Trainee, you will be at the heart of our branches, providing exceptional customer service and supporting the growth and development of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide efficient, effective, and courteous customer service to our customers, both in person and via telephone.
  • Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, cash checking, and other financial transactions with a high level of accuracy.
  • Work closely with our training team and branch team to learn about the responsibilities of a Teller Trainee and complete our comprehensive training program.
  • Make decisions alongside your immediate supervisor, which may become more extensive as you gain knowledge and experience.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese strongly preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable using technology, including computers, to facilitate the achievement of business goals.
  • Sales and service-oriented personality.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
  • Positive approach to interactions with customers and team members.
  • Ability to work within normal office requirements, with long periods of standing and continuous customer support.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness and ability to work within a flexible work week, which may include weekends, as customer needs dictate.
  • Ability to successfully complete our training program.
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Candidates should have 1-2 years prior teller experience or cash handling/customer service skills.
