About the Role

The Inpatient Coding Specialist is a critical position that plays a vital role in our coding process. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing medical records to assign diagnoses and procedure codes accurately.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing medical records to ensure accurate coding
  • Analyzing documentation to assign diagnoses and procedure codes
  • Abiding by industry standards and guidelines

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS coding
  • Certifications such as RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, or CIRCC

Preferred qualifications include an associate's degree in Health Information Technology or a bachelor's degree in Health Information Management.
