About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our international trade operations team, responsible for managing buying operations for large retail clients. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the direction of the team and work directly with key clients in a fast-paced environment.

As the International Trade Operations Manager, you will oversee daily activities, ensure high levels of service and operational efficiency, develop and maintain strong client relationships, lead team growth and implement standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee daily activities of the client service team, ensuring smooth interactions with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with large retail clients, addressing their needs and providing exceptional support.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead the initial setup and ongoing growth of the team, including the creation and implementation of standard operating procedures.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate challenges, needs, and proposed solutions to senior leadership to drive business success.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting: Monitor team performance, provide regular updates to senior leadership, and ensure that key information is communicated effectively across the business.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Commercial Trade Experience: Familiarity with key trade tools and processes such as letters of credit, collections, and open account transactions.
  • International Operations Experience: Understanding of global supply chain processes and operational best practices for international trade.
  • Relationship Management: Proven ability to manage and grow relationships with large clients, with a focus on providing strategic solutions.
  • Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively to both internal teams and clients.
  • Poliished Presentation Skills: Experience building professional PowerPoint decks for senior leadership and clients.
  • Contact Center or Trading Floor Experience: Ideally, experience managing teams in a contact center or financial services environment (e.g., securities, trading floors).

Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per annum
