Job Overview

As a Technical Specialist I at SCS Global Services, you will be responsible for providing auditing and technical support to technical managers and other program staff. Your primary responsibility will be to audit Textile Exchange clients to the GRS, RCS, and CCS Standards both on site and remotely. This includes audit planning, arranging travel, submitting timely audit reports, and responding to technical reviews in a timely manner. Additional tasks may include support on program quality documents and participation in internal and accreditation audits.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct audits by adhering to agreed timelines, using the most updated program templates (checklists, reports, opening and closing meeting records)
Support the documentation, communication, and closure of audit findings
Communicate effectively and professionally with internal staff and external clients
Conduct both onsite and desk audits according to standards and program requirements following ISO 9001 auditing guidelines
Complete clear technical audit reports with increasing complexity (expansive scope, complex industry, standard), including applicable calculations, interpretation of testing results, and research

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in quantitative sciences (e.g., Engineering, Life Sciences, Chemistry)
2+ years of professional experience in a related sector
Professional and technical experience in manufacturing facilities within the consumer electronics industry, metals industry, plastics recycling, textile/apparel industry, building materials, or other relevant industry sector
Excellent technical writing, observation, and data management skills, strong communication, and demonstrated abilities in critical thinking and data analysis
Fluency in English with experience that includes professional and technical verbal and written communication with clients
Strong organization skills with proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
Thrives in a deadline-driven environment by completing complex tasks and deliverables on-time
Highly detail oriented with the ability to interpret standard requirements
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; intermediate level in Excel
Initiative and ability to work independently, responsive and adaptive to a team environment
