Job Summary

Fiduciary Trust International, a leading investment and wealth management firm, is seeking a Senior Trust Officer to join our Special Needs Trust and Guardianship practice in Radnor, PA. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with high-net-worth individuals and families, developing holistic strategies to optimize their portfolios while mitigating the impact of taxes on their wealth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer Special Needs/Settlement Trust accounts, staying current on relevant laws, issues, and topics.
  • Develop and nurture centers of influence, including clients' accountants, attorneys, and other trusted advisors.
  • Oversee client requests, including discretionary distributions, bill pay, asset transfers, gifts, contributions, acquisitions, and sales.
  • Coordinate with tax department concerning client tax issues.
  • Handle termination of trusts in coordination with our Trust Counsel, Investment Department, Tax Department, and other parties as necessary.
  • Oversee the new account process from prospect to account funding, analyzing relevant documents to determine legal documentation required for compliance purposes.
  • Work in coordination with Portfolio Managers to provide industry-leading client service and advice.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • JD or advanced degree preferred.
  • Industry credentials highly preferred (CFP or CTFA preferred).
  • 8+ years of Trust Administration experience.
  • Knowledge of Special Needs Trust and Guardianship Law and Administration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of trust accounting system, workflows, and best practices.

Franklin Templeton offers a competitive compensation package, including a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. The base salary for this position is expected to range between $150,000 - $180,000.
