Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and energetic Childcare Cook/Floater to join our team at Kimmy's Christian Academy. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about working with children and cooking delicious meals.
About the Role: As a Childcare Cook/Floater, you will be responsible for preparing meals and snacks according to CACFP guidelines, tracking meal attendance and CACFP enrollment, organizing and maintaining the kitchen, tracking food and supplies, floating/substituting in classrooms, and working with after-schoolers and carrying out curriculum activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children
- Manage kitchen inventory and order supplies as needed
- Provide excellent customer service to children, parents, and staff
- Work effectively as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives
- Participate in ongoing professional development to improve skills and knowledge
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- First Aid and CPR certification
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Ability to pass a background check
Nice to Have:
- Previous experience working in childcare or education
