Vocational Instructor

We are seeking a skilled Horticulture Training Specialist to join our team at Roederer Correctional Complex. As a Corrections Vocational Instructor, you will play a vital role in providing assessment and targeted vocational instructional services to offenders within our facility.

• Provide classroom instruction in Horticulture to eligible offenders.
• Adhere to supporting curriculum and prepare lesson plans.
• Submit transcripts and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
• Keep inventory of all tools and equipment and enter daily attendance into KOMS.
• Maintain a safe and orderly classroom and respond to emergencies in a timely manner.

• Graduate of a college or university with an associate's degree.
• Three (3) years of trade-related experience, with additional education substituting for up to two (2) years of experience.

Roederer Correctional Complex is a 1,238-bed medium/minimum security adult male correctional facility located in Lagrange, Kentucky. Our mission is to prepare inmates to return to society as contributing, law-abiding citizens.
