Machinist - Tooling Specialist

Stryten Energy, a leading manufacturer of energy storage solutions, is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team. As a Machinist, you will play a critical role in supporting our molding department's production objectives by performing mold repair, improvements, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and emergency repairs on all injection molds.
- Respond to problem tags and carry out repairs in a timely and effective manner.
- Ensure work is performed in a neat and professional manner.
- Work on special projects as assigned by management.
- Complete work requests and work orders with clear descriptions of work done.
- Assist with Root Cause Analysis and repetitive failures related to injection molds.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on projects and modification work.
- Work effectively as a team member and handle multiple tasks with limited supervision.
- Manage time effectively to meet specified deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with process engineering to improve molding through tooling improvements and processing.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Apprenticeship training certificate (preferred but not required).
- Five years of Machinist experience related to injection molds (preferred).
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair molds as needed.
- Fundamental understanding of injection molding principles.
- Understanding of mold construction and maintenance principles.
- Proficiency in NC milling machines, NC lathes, surface grinding, EDM machine operation, and basic math and trigonometry.
- Machine tool setup and blueprint reading skills.
- Basic computer skills and physical requirements as defined in the job analysis.
