Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Radiation Therapy Physicist Lead to join our team at JobRialto. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the radiation therapy physics program, ensuring the delivery of high-quality radiation therapy through participation in linear accelerator quality assurance, treatment planning, and consultation in accordance with AAPM standards.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in therapeutic radiological physics, with certification from the ABR or ABMP. You will have a minimum of three years of experience in IMRT and stereotactic radiosurgery, with excellent communication skills and a proven track record of leading teams. You will work closely with physicians, radiation therapists, dosimetrists, office personnel, and nurses to improve and excel at patient care in radiation therapy.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Leading the radiation therapy physics program, ensuring the delivery of high-quality radiation therapy
  • Participating in linear accelerator quality assurance, treatment planning, and consultation in accordance with AAPM standards
  • Communicating with physicians, radiation therapists, dosimetrists, office personnel, and nurses to improve and excel at patient care in radiation therapy
  • Providing technical support and skills for adoption of new technology and identifying opportunities for improving the delivery of physics and dosimetry support within the department
  • Maintaining quality assurance and calibration procedures for all radiation devices according to accepted protocols and standards of practice
  • Performing physics treatment planning and radiation safety
  • Training and supervising physicists and dosimetrists who work in and/or rotate through the departments
  • Coordinating, reviewing, and recommending action on maintenance contracts and working with Varian on upgrades and equipment needs
