Patient Access Representative

A skilled Patient Access Representative/Fiscal Clerk is sought to perform various administrative tasks with precision and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, proficiency in medical billing procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Verify insurance benefits and billing information, annotating accounts with coverage details and estimated patient shares.
- Resolve issues related to payment, billing, and authorization processes.
- Maintain accurate records, including account annotation, demographics, and correspondence.
- Contact third-party payers for payment post-billing.
- Monitor insurance authorizations and claim rejections.
- Reconcile daily money collected and maintain fiscal records.
- Perform tasks consistent with authorization and billing requirements.
- Contact patients regarding payment arrangements or account balances.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience in a medical office setting.
- 2-4 years of experience with Medicaid and PAC commercial insurance (preferred).
- Excellent customer service skills and professional public presentation skills.
- Knowledge of medical insurance claims procedures, documentation, and records maintenance.
- Proficient in basic PC skills, Microsoft Word, and Excel preferred.
