Job Description
This role involves conducting initial mental health and addictions diagnostic evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults. The successful candidate will provide referrals and coordinate entry into services, ensuring seamless transitions for clients.
Vital Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health and addictions assessments for diverse age groups.
- Develop treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, utilizing tools like CANS/ANSA.
- Maintain effective relationships with internal and external providers, including clinicians, schedulers, and community partners.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meet documentation requirements as per agency policies and procedures.
- Participate in regular staffing sessions with psychiatrists and peer consultations with colleagues.
- Travel between offices in Valparaiso, Portage, and Knox, potentially visiting the Porter and/or Starke County Jail.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A Master's degree from an accredited institution in clinical social work, clinical mental health counseling, or marriage and family therapy.
- At least 3 years of experience in providing mental health and addictions assessments and/or treatment.
