Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Bus Driver to join our team at Metro Nashville Government. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting children, parents, staff, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport children, parents, staff, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  • Submit a legible inspection sheet weekly
  • Provide a daily checklist and observe all cleaning schedules
  • Observe loading/unloading bus procedures
  • Serve as back-up Teacher Assistant in the classroom and field trips
  • Attend meetings and complete required training
  • Demonstrate positive and professional work habits
  • Help children to develop socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally
  • Assist with other position-related duties as requested by supervisor

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a "P" and "S" endorsement
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds on a daily basis

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of street and highway safety rules and procedures
