Dietary Aide

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Dietary Aide - Food Service Professional to join our team at Powerlink. Our company provides award-winning solutions in the areas of Food and Nutrition Services, Environmental Services, Institutional Laundry Services, and Facility Maintenance.

The Dietary Aide works under the supervision of the Culinary Manager and is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, experience in food preparation, production control, inventory control, kitchen safety, sanitation, equipment use and cleaning/sanitizing, food safety, recipe adherence, therapeutic diets, and modified textured foods and liquids.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Assisting dietary cooks as necessary.
• Performing general sanitation and cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, and taking out trash.
• Preparing and serving food to residents.
• Working independently and in a team environment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in customer service.
• Minimum one (1) year of food service experience.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English effectively.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays with flexible hours.
• Background in safety and sanitation compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current ServSafe certification or Food Handler certification.
• Experience working in long-term care environments.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $32,000 - $40,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
