Egan Company, a leading specialty construction contractor and system integrator in the Midwest, seeks a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist/Security Systems Engineer to join its team. This union position offers top-rate wages, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for growth and development.
Overview:
We are looking for an experienced professional with expertise in security systems installation, service, and repair, as well as programming various security systems, including Lenel, S2, Sielox, and Bosch. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess a strong commitment to safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Install, service, or repair specified access, security, and CCTV systems and peripheral devices;
- Program various security systems – Lenel, S2, Sielox, Bosch experience is a plus;
- Assist with the start-up and commissioning of new equipment or system installation;
- Overcome challenges on retrofits and new installations;
- Train and instruct new users on life safety equipment;
- Daily communication with the Project Manager;
- Completion of daily safety and additional documents;
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required;
- Experience installing and programming fire alarm systems;
- Valid MN Power Limited Technician license;
- NICET Certification is preferred (we can assist you in attaining this certification);
- Knowledge of current codes when applicable;
- Valid driver's license – travel between job sites is required;
- 3-year Limited Energy JATC training or equivalent in time worked in the industry;
- Current IBEW Member or willingness to join the local IBEW;
- Overtime may be required depending on the workload;
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and mark up prints;
- Ability to lead and direct a team;
- Effective interpersonal and customer service skills;
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods;
- Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds (alone) or 50 to 85 pounds with assistance (team);
- Ability to climb a ladder and work with heights;
- Highly motivated and ability to multi-task;
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision;
- Attention to detail, organization, and time management skills;
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools associated with the job in a safe manner;
- Good hand dexterity and strength;
