About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Leisure Program Manager to join our team at Link Associates. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing therapeutic recreation programming and promoting independence in individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Job Summary

The Leisure Program Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing leisure activities that promote socialization, skill development, and community integration. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate in-house leisure day program activities, including attendance records, transportation, and billing documentation.
  • Develop and implement community-based leisure activities, ensuring positive outcomes and goal achievement for participants.
  • Provide transportation services and ensure safe and timely arrival and departure of participants.
  • Assist in training direct support professionals to facilitate established leisure programs.
  • Assist with the orientation, training, and scheduling of employees, volunteers, and interns.
  • Evaluate leisure services programs, compiling and recording evaluations to inform future program development.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of two years of related experience in recreational therapy or a related field.
  • Must meet agency policy on transportation and background checks.
  • Possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing standard office, home, and recreational equipment.
  • Proven proficiency in implementing agency rules and procedures, using verbal, presentation, and written communication skills, human relation skills, team working skills, and organizational skills.
  • This position requires frequent standing, walking, and reaching, occasional 2-hand lifting from floor to waist of up to fifty (50) pounds, and occasional 2-hand push/pull of up to sixty (60) pounds of force.
Compensation
