Clinical Expertise in Oncology Care

At Covenant Health, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and creating a positive work environment for our staff. As a Clin Nurse III, you will play a vital role in providing professional nursing care within an assigned unit, coordinating care planning with other disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Correlate patient history and support systems within hospital care/nursing home care.
  • Assess needs of patient and family.
  • Develop and initiate plan of care, involving patient and family.
  • Recommend interventions.
  • Evaluate plan of care.
  • Clinical expertise and knowledge is such that individual can resolve complex patient/management/physician problems without supervision.
  • Demonstrate competence in performing critical skills to include appropriate delivery of care according to the age-specific needs of the population served.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives in their own unit or participate in facility team.
  • Precept new employees/students or attend formal preceptor workshop and be willing to precept.
  • Review clinical performance of preceptee with unit leader or clinical instructor.
  • Provide four contact hours of educational activities, excluding basic patient education.
  • Contribute to development and evaluation of unit orientation program.
  • Supervise LPNs, Nursing Assistants, HUCs, Techs, and sitters.

Requirements:

  • Valid Tennessee RN license.
  • Fire/security, infection control, and CPR inservices required.
  • OCN preferred.
  • Twenty (20) hours of continuing education annually, including ten (10) hours to enhance clinical expertise.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package and opportunities for growth and development in a supportive and dynamic work environment.
