Job Summary

Goldfish Swim School - West Linn is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our swim school. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of our programs, staff, and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and control daily operations to ensure compliance with Goldfish Swim School standards.
  • Assist the General Manager in achieving daily tasks and goals.
  • Manage staff to ensure high productivity, excellent performance, and positive employee satisfaction.
  • Train and oversee aquatics staff to provide superior swim instruction to our students.
  • Provide sales and marketing training to qualified sales staff.
  • Direct the retail and vending departments to ensure a proper mix of products and pricing.
  • Train and oversee private party staff to maintain GSS standards.
  • Gain knowledge and experience in the Links software to achieve competence in bookings, class scheduling, and administrative functions.
  • Gain a high level of knowledge and experience in GSS pool operations to maintain a safe and sanitary swim environment.
  • Initiate and oversee workplace employee activities to improve employee satisfaction.
  • Direct and oversee the implementation of the Emergency Action Plan and all safety procedures.
  • Maintain current certifications and stay up-to-date professionally on aquatics and management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
  • Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, and/or childcare provider required.
  • Two or more years of management experience preferred; two or more years as a swimming instructor preferred.
  • Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and first aid certification required; shallow water attendant highly recommended.
