Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a classroom of 10-20 students, providing academic mentoring and homework assistance.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans for academic activities, enrichment classes, and clubs.
  • Conduct life skills and team-building activities that promote social-emotional learning.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and BGCP leadership to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and special events to support the organization's mission.
Requirements
  • Commitment to BGCP's mission and vision, with a passion for working with diverse youth populations.
  • Experience building relationships with students, parents, and community stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage students.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Preferred one year of experience working with TK-8 youth, with Spanish fluency a plus.
