Trailer Technician

Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leading fleet maintenance company in the US, is seeking a skilled Trailer Technician to join their team in Middletown, PA.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely repair and maintenance of heavy-duty semi-trailers, including air brakes, wheel seals, door panels, floor boards, side panels, electrical wiring, and DOT inspections. Experience with welding and solar panels is a plus, and computer competency is necessary for managing part purchasing and work orders.
The successful candidate will enjoy a competitive hourly pay of $25-30 per hour, paid weekly every Friday, along with opportunities for overtime and performance bonuses. Additionally, they will benefit from comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, prescription drug coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, 401(k) program, paid vacation, holidays, and sick time.
This role requires at least two years of experience in vehicle and trailer maintenance, with skills in operating manual transmission vehicles, performing DOT inspections, and basic computer skills. The ideal candidate will also have basic written and verbal communication skills for documentation and communication with peers and supervisors.
Work conditions include exposure to heavy traffic areas, considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes, and noise, as well as access to any area of the equipment or vehicle. The successful candidate must be able to move and position heavy objects, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and crawl to repair vehicles, and work outside in various weather conditions.
