Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Activity Counselor to join our team at Shalom Austin Kids Connection. As an Activity Counselor, you will play a key role in providing a fun and engaging experience for children in grades K-5. You will be responsible for designing and implementing daily activities, managing group dynamics, and ensuring the overall well-being of the children in your care.

Shalom Austin is a dynamic organization dedicated to serving the Jewish community in Central Texas. Our Kids Connection program provides a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn, grow, and develop essential life skills.

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement daily activities that promote learning, creativity, and physical activity
- Manage group dynamics and ensure a positive and respectful environment for all children
- Provide individualized attention and support to children as needed
- Maintain accurate records and reports on child progress and attendance
- Collaborate with other staff members to plan and execute special events and activities

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
- At least 18 years of age
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a group setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities

Salary:
$15.00-$17.00 per hour, depending on experience and education. Free DJCC Membership included.
