Cognizant North America is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our Artificial Intelligence and Analytics practice, you will be responsible for developing and implementing machine learning models using AWS Machine Learning services to solve complex business problems.

Utilizing PyTorch, you will build, train, and optimize deep learning models for various applications, and write efficient and scalable Python code to process and analyze large datasets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and deploying machine learning models in a production environment
  • Conducting thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business decisions
  • Designing and executing experiments to validate the performance and accuracy of machine learning models
  • Monitoring and maintaining the performance of deployed models to ensure they meet business objectives
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior data scientists and team members
  • Staying updated with the latest advancements in machine learning and data science to continuously improve skills and knowledge
  • Communicating findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and concise reports and presentations
  • Ensuring data integrity and security by following best practices and company policies
  • Participating in code reviews and contributing to the development of best practices for the team

Requirements include:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in data science with a strong focus on AWS Machine Learning, PyTorch, and Python
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and deploying machine learning models in a production environment
  • Proficiency in data analysis, statistical methods, and data visualization techniques
  • Experience in the Cards and Payments domain is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field with relevant certifications being a plus

This is a hybrid role offering the flexibility of working both remotely and on-site during day shifts. The annual salary for this position is between $90,000 - $120,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
