About the Role

Lee Health is seeking a skilled Registered Dialysis Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our dialysis administration department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the safe delivery of hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis treatments.

Job Summary

This role requires a strong nursing background, with a focus on clinical expertise, leadership, and collaboration. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, adhering to established clinical nursing practice standards set by reputable organizations such as the American Nursing Association and the Florida Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities
  • Safely deliver and document hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis treatments.
  • Care for patients through the nursing process, from assessment and diagnosis to planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Utilize critical thinking, management, problem-solving, and differentiation of urgency in roles such as clinician, teacher, researcher, leader, and professional developer.
  • Direct and coordinate nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards.
  • Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and achieve desired patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • 1 year of inpatient experience; 5 years or more of outpatient experience may be considered.
  • State of Florida licensure requirements: Registered Nurse License.
  • Certifications/Registration requirements: BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support).
