Job Summary

UCHealth (Colorado) is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform sonography in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
  • Review patient history, physician's orders, and schedule exams.
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
  • Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies, select appropriate exposure factors, and implement safety standards.
  • Position patients and perform imaging procedures, analyze results, and identify issues with image quality.
  • Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including re-positioning patients and repeating procedures.
  • Enter, transmit, and report scan results.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
  • Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or certified in Sonography (S) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • State licensure if required by law.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
