Piano Accompanist and Vocal Coach

Lane College is seeking a highly skilled Piano Collaborator to join its music department. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in accompanying vocal ensembles and providing individual coaching sessions to classical, musical theatre, jazz singers, and commercial performers.

Responsibilities will include scheduling private coaching sessions with music majors, accompanying bi-weekly seminars, collaborating with vocal students and faculty on degree recitals, juries, auditions, workshops, and competitions, supporting sectional rehearsals, and reporting results to the Choral Director.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for music, extensive experience in playing for individual musicians and choral ensembles, and the ability to read music at a collegiate level.

To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree or 3 years of work experience in the field, proficiency in piano, and excellent communication skills.

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

This is a part-time exempt position that requires some walking, climbing stairs, sitting, and standing for long periods. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
