Responsibilities

As a PreOp PACU Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing patients' preoperative and postoperative status, developing individualized care plans, and implementing interventions to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Your duties will include:

• Assessing patients' cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, and hemodynamic stability
• Interpreting information from various monitors and describing the underlying pathophysiology of commonly encountered disease processes
• Developing and implementing individualized care plans, including pain and comfort management, wound care, and fluid management
• Collaborating with other disciplines to ensure seamless patient care

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• A graduate degree in nursing from an accredited school
• At least one year of experience in preoperative or PACU nursing
• Current state licensure to practice nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
