At Vermont State University, we are committed to providing high-quality education in the field of nursing. We invite applications for a part-time teaching position in our Department of Nursing.
The course to be taught is Nursing- NUR-1121 Principles & Practices of Nursing, II, which covers safe, competent, standard nursing interventions to clients experiencing recurring healthcare problems in acute and long-term care settings.
To be considered for this role, you must possess a Master's degree in Nursing or a related field. Teaching experience in secondary school or college is an asset, as well as an active unencumbered Vermont RN licensure or eligibility for an unencumbered Vermont license.
Estimated Salary: $60,000-$80,000 per year, based on credits previously taught per VSC-VSCPTF Bargaining Unit Agreement.
Job Description- Care for groups of clients utilizing the nursing process to organize and implement nursing care.
- Select appropriate goals to meet the client's self-care needs.
- Demonstrate an increasing ability to perform standard nursing interventions in the clinical environment with decreasing need for supervision.
In addition to your teaching responsibilities, you will have access to observational experiences in certain specialty areas.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing or a related field.
- Teaching experience in secondary school or college (an asset).
- Active unencumbered Vermont RN licensure or eligibility for an unencumbered Vermont license.
