Astra Group, LLC seeks a skilled Quantitative Estimating Professional to join our team.

About the Job

This role involves creating comprehensive bid packages for Astra Group and its customers. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and the operations team to gather and analyze data.

We are looking for an individual with 5+ years of relatable estimator experience and knowledge of AGTEK, Microsoft Project, P6 (Primavera), Bluebeam, Vista, and Procore. Specific experience in estimating utility, structural concrete, and deep foundation work is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain bid schedules with Owners and/or Program Managers
  • Prepare cost estimates and budgets for projects being bid
  • Develop quantity takeoffs from bid documents
  • Conduct hard bid and design/build conceptual estimating
  • Analyze project construction staging and workflows, identifying means and methods to improve the schedule
  • Travel to job sites to gather information on materials needed, labor required, and other factors

The successful candidate will possess excellent math skills, good judgment, and adaptability. They will also be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant estimator experience
  • Strong knowledge of industry software and tools
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
