At CDM, we seek a seasoned Senior Construction Operations Manager to spearhead our commercial metal framing and drywall construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of experience in project management, with expertise in OST and QuickBid. Additionally, they must be skilled in reading and interpreting contract documents, drawings, schedules, and specifications. Their knowledge of construction budgets, scheduling, and estimating will be essential in driving our projects forward.

A strong leader with exceptional leadership and management abilities, the chosen individual will be responsible for:

  • Delivering project management, strategic planning, and implementation support for key organizational initiatives and special projects.
  • Managing strategic planning and execution of multiple projects and teams.
  • Providing management oversight for all phases of assigned project(s), including coordinating field staff, materials, equipment, submittals, ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications, creating and maintaining schedules, financial management, reviewing and pricing of change documents and budget/cost reviews and re-estimates.
  • Actively leading and supporting a positive, proactive, results-oriented work culture that is regarded by peers and stakeholders as innovative and demonstrative of the company's values.
  • Using the support and input of staff members and constantly analyzing the local market, recommending short-term objectives and long-range goals to the Unit Manager.

The selected candidate will be expected to:

  • Review pricing and job selection policies for bid and negotiated work.
  • Maintain an awareness of the Company's image among customers by taking action to correct problems uncovered.
  • Participate in the bidding and negotiating process to help ensure the procurement of a contract.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual operating and fixed assets budgets to be submitted to the President for approval.
  • Monitor all departments and profit centers to ensure the budget is achieved.
  • Understand financial position, profitability, cash flow, and capital structure to ensure stability and achieve financial objectives.

Our ideal candidate must possess:

  • 5+ years of commercial metal framing and drywall construction experience in Project Management.
  • Experience with OST and QuickBid is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, schedules, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of construction budgets, scheduling, and estimating.
  • Strong leadership and management abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of organization and multi-tasking skills.

The salary range for this position is $125k-$175k.
