Job Description

As a Customer Service and Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our customers by providing proactive support, training, and guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Sales Department to monitor project activity and assist customers in achieving their security objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Department to ensure accurate billing and resolution of customer concerns.
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge to better serve customers and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Develop contractual relationships between our company and customers to provide ongoing service and support.
  • Analyze and address customer complaints, recommending improvements to efficiency and reducing complaints through corrective actions or services.
  • Visit out-of-warranty commercial accounts to offer new or renewed service contracts, gather feedback, and create second sales opportunities for the sales department.
  • Post yard signs and permit stickers as required at customer facilities.
  • Identify leads for system upgrades and minor additions to customer equipment.
  • Provide timely and accurate information to the Sales Department regarding future business opportunities.
  • Follow up on outstanding issues within 48 hours to ensure job completion and minimize delays.
  • Compile and report information on complaints, jobs well done, and potential business opportunities to the Vice President of Administration.
  • Prepare and maintain out-of-warranty letters and tracking documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer transactions, including call lists, unit problems, and manufacturing issues.
  • Ensure end-users understand products and provide necessary training; maintain training records and documents as needed.
  • Promote a positive work environment, fostering harmony and employee morale throughout Tel-Tec Security Systems, Inc., and Tel-Tec Monitoring, Inc.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Basic understanding of administrative functions relating to maintaining customer records and explaining all services offered by the company.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.
  • Mathematical skills to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
