Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package for this role, with an estimated salary of $147,440 - $231,980 per year. The actual compensation will be influenced by various factors, including skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.

Job Description

The Data Governance Lead plays a critical role in championing our vision for information management, building an information-aware culture, and ensuring that our data governance practices align with our strategic objectives. This position oversees the implementation and management of data governance and management program elements, ensuring that data is managed effectively, ethically, and securely, and supports the organization's mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and operationalize the data stewardship program to ensure effective data management.
  • Develop and implement data quality continuous improvement programs to assess, measure, improve, or remediate data performance and quality.
  • Develop and operationalize other relevant data management programs, including policies, procedures, and rules to manage information and data across the lifecycle.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings of the information governance council.
  • Assign and educate data stewards to promote effective data management.
  • Ensure that information is managed in line with statutory and administrative obligations.
  • Support and align information management with organizational drivers, needs, and strategic objectives.
  • Improve stewardship of information and increase its value as an operational and strategic asset.
  • Implement appropriate controls to secure information.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in data, analytics, or governance roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data governance, data management, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of data protection laws, intellectual property rights, and governance policies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
