Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at the City of Laredo, TX. The successful candidate will provide administrative and clerical support to our Police Department, ensuring the smooth operation of our daily activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the Police Department, including scheduling appointments, preparing reports, and maintaining records.
• Assist with special projects, such as developing and implementing department records management programs.
• Maintain inventory of office supplies and equipment, and ensure the department is equipped with the necessary resources.
• Screen office visitors and telephone calls, providing information and responding to complaints.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of department policies, procedures, and practices.
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and the public.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
• At least five years of experience in high-level administrative support.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
