Job Title: Bookkeeper

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at Property Manage Ct. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with all legal requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Record and verify transactions, bringing the books to the trial balance stage.
  • Prepare and complete tax forms, including sales and use tax returns.
  • Set up new accounts and manage corporate filings with the secretary of the state.
  • Communicate with owners, attorneys, accountants, and government agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with the State's licensing division for the company.
  • Manage demand letters, collections, evictions, foreclosures, and filings with general counsel attorneys.
  • Utilize AppFolio property management software, QuickBooks online, and ADP payroll for 2 different companies.
  • Manage HR and benefits for employees, including budgets vs actuals and forecasting.
  • Attend meetings with company, owners, and associations.
  • Manage insurance audit management and Department of Motor Vehicle registrations.
  • Oversee vendor management of licenses, insurance, and W-9s.
  • Reconcile financial data and transactions, and prepare trial balance.
  • Analyze budgets and other financial information.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Previous experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or similar position.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
