The Role

We are seeking a skilled sales engineer to work within our partnerships and sales teams. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the current options for an 'AI stack,' including libraries such as LangChain, Llama Index, model families, and types, vector DBs, and other tools.

The ideal candidate will be able to provide technical expertise and insights during the sales process, presenting MindsDB as a solution tailored to the customer's specific workflow, IT architecture, and requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Embedding within the business development team to serve as a technical thought partner in the sales process.
  • Providing technical expertise and insights during the sales process and presenting MindsDB as a solution.
  • Demonstrating MindsDB's capabilities to potential customers in a way that is tailored to their specific workflow, IT architecture, and requirements.
  • Leading technical discovery sessions to understand alignment and disconnects with the MindsDB solution.
  • Answering technical questions from prospects.
  • Creating reference architectures.
  • Analyzing customer requirements and designing solutions to meet them.
  • Serving as a conduit to channel customer feedback to the product team.
  • Maintaining deep market and industry expertise (AI and ML models, databases, etc.).
  • Contributing to technical resources and documentation.
Requirements
  • BA/BS degree, preferably in computer science or a related field.
  • 3-7 years in a solutions engineering or architect role or equivalent.
  • SQL expertise.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time for face-to-face meetings.
  • Scrappiness, independence, end-to-end project ownership.

  • Experience with AI / LLMs.
  • Experience with ML or predictive analytics.
  • Located in SF / Bay Area.
