Kennel Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team at the American Veterinary Group. As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and client service in a fast-paced, multi-doctor animal hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kennel area, including cleaning and mopping.
  • Care for boarding animals, including feeding, administering medication, and providing a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Assist with bathing animals and provide a high level of care for all pets.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  • Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to ensure seamless patient care and a positive experience for clients.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be a team player, willing to work flexible hours, including weekends, and be able to lift 40 pounds.
  • Prior customer service experience and experience working with animals in a hospital setting are highly desirable.
