About the Role:

As a Residential Substance Use Treatment Specialist at OhioGuidestone, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care and support to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. This part-time weekend shift position requires flexibility and dedication, but offers a rewarding experience that can make a lasting impact on our clients' lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records for all clients served
  • Deliver educational sessions on substance use treatment, symptom management, wellness, and health to clients, family members, and colleagues
  • Ongoing observation and communication of clients' mental health or substance use symptoms, ensuring timely interventions are implemented
  • Facilitate group activities focused on mental health or substance use needs
  • Provide direct supervision to ensure client safety and basic needs are met
  • Assist clients in managing behaviors and implementing positive behavioral interventions
  • Conduct regular safety checks of clients' belongings and environment
  • Achieve productivity goals as assigned
  • Perform duties in accordance with applicable professional ethics and standards, as well as established OhioGuidestone policies
  • Comply with all state and federal laws regarding protected health information

Required Qualifications:

  • Effective interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively with individuals and groups
  • Ability to exercise discretion and good professional judgment
  • Flexible and able to work varying shifts, including weekends
  • Strong organizational skills, handling multiple priorities with attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain relevant documentation as required
  • Effective computer literacy skills, including Windows applications, Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic health records
  • Possess a valid Ohio driver's license with a safe driving record and valid insurance
