Culinary Specialist

Rusty Taco is seeking a Culinary Specialist to join their team in Dallas, TX. As a fast-paced and dynamic kitchen environment, this role plays a crucial part in maintaining high standards of product quality and service.

Rusty Taco was established in 2010 in a charmingly converted gas station in Dallas, TX. With multiple locations across the United States, our mission is to delight our guests with tasty, street-style tacos, homemade salsas, and refreshing margaritas, all crafted with fresh, simple ingredients and traditional Latin American cooking techniques.

As a Culinary Specialist at Rusty Taco, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of fresh ingredients for daily menu items, cooking authentic Mexican tacos and sides in accordance with Rusty Taco standards, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, following food safety and sanitation guidelines during food preparation, assisting in menu planning and the development of new dishes, collaborating with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations, monitoring inventory levels and assisting with ordering supplies as needed, and training new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and kitchen procedures.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a restaurant kitchen or cooking environment, a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations, the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, excellent communication and teamwork skills, passion for cooking and dedication to preparing quality food, flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, and basic knife skills and knowledge of various cooking methods.

The estimated salary for this position is $40,000 - $60,000 per year, based on location and experience.
