Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Guthrie. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and administering radioactive isotopes to patients, as well as providing technical support to other nuclear medicine professionals and physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dose Management and Administration: Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic procedures, and prepare therapeutic doses for administration by radiologists.
- Diagnostic Imaging and Processing: Acquire and process nuclear medicine scans utilizing computerized single and multi-head SPECT/CT gamma cameras, and perform laboratory procedures according to procedure manual.
- Daily Equipment Quality Control: Perform daily and quarterly Q.A. procedures on equipment and maintain records of same.
- Radiation Safety/Compliance: Maintain records of all radioactive material in department from reception to use of and then to final disposal, and enforce radiation and general safety rules and regulations.
- Preparation and Administration of Radiopharmaceutical Therapy: Prepare and administer radiopharmaceutical therapy as required.
Requirements:
- Education: High School and graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program. AAS degree preferred.
- Certification: Certification required; ARRT(R), Advanced certification (ARRT(N)) or NMTCB.
- Experience: Minimum of three months preferred. Registered technologist in a Radiology Department of a general acute-care hospital.
Working Conditions: The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to radiation. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and must be able to communicate effectively with patients, medical personnel, and other stakeholders.
Salary and Benefits: The salary range for this position is $44.22 per diem rate. Guthrie offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan and paid time off.
