Power Mechanic Level B

As a Power Mechanic Level B at Estes Express, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of diesel engines, trucks, and forklifts. Your duties will include inspecting, troubleshooting, and diagnosing equipment issues, as well as performing safety inspections and preparing safety documents. You will also be responsible for interpreting work orders and technical manuals, repairing or replacing defective parts, and testing equipment for proper performance.
Responsibilities:
Inspect and diagnose equipment issues
Perform safety inspections and prepare safety documents
Interpret work orders and technical manuals
Repair or replace defective parts
Test equipment for proper performance
Requirements:
High School Diploma or General Educational Degree (GED)
18+ years of age
1+ year of experience and/or completion of trade school
Ability to use hand tools and test equipment
Own tools
Knowledge of general repairs and PM criteria
Specific knowledge of heavy truck repairs in a commercial environment
Ability to keep up with changing technology and updates
Mechanical ability and interest in engines, electronics, and precision equipment
Ability to lift 70 lbs. and work in awkward positions
Work Environment:
Work near moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles
Work in high/precarious places, with hazardous materials, and in various weather conditions
Noise level ranges from quiet to loud
