Job Title: Construction Superintendent

Walbridge is seeking a skilled Construction Superintendent to lead our construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction process, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate construction activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and material management.
  • Supervise and mentor Assistant Superintendents and craft personnel to ensure effective project execution.
  • Collaborate with engineering, estimating, and planning teams to ensure compliance with project specifications and schedules.
  • Identify and resolve construction problems, ensuring minimal disruptions to the project.
  • Maintain open communication with labor relations, ensuring smooth interactions with unions and resolving jurisdictional disputes.
  • Monitor and enforce project safety protocols, documenting and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with other departments, including material control, purchasing, and quality control, to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with professional industry training and experience.
  • Minimum eight years of supervisory experience in similar construction technology, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures.
  • Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, and demonstrated ability to control and supervise large groups.
  • Prior experience with commercial and/or industrial project scopes of $15M value or more.
  • Ability to work extended periods in temporary living arrangements or frequent travel to non-local job sites.
