About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering design services throughout the project life-cycle, from concept through construction.
  • Work with clients and other disciplines to prepare appropriate designs, as dictated by the scope of work.
  • Lead tasks and projects, analyzing moderate to complex design problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures.
  • Provide direction to younger staff, developing engineering drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and preparing final bid packages.
  • Communicate with clients on task-oriented issues and project issues under the direction of the project manager.
  • Use strong writing skills and engineering planning to develop guidance documents and reports, such as systems engineering documents.
  • Interact with clients to relay clear, concise, and consistent project-related updates.
  • Participate in projects by completing tasks within schedule and budget.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and electronic communications.
  • Participate in meetings, seminars, conferences, and committees.
  • Occasional project site visits and field work.
  • Review project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
  • Provide constructability evaluations.
  • Participate in the development of proposals as part of a pursuit team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil or Electrical preferred) or relevant discipline.
  • Professional Engineer license required.
  • 8-12 years' experience working in a relevant field.
  • Expertise with CADD.
  • Expertise with MS Office.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Some experience with management of project tasks.
