About the Role

Swing Shift: 1:30 PM - 12:00 AM (Tuesday - Friday) Estimated Salary: $27.41/Hour Summary of Position:

The Logistics Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of materials, including palletized product and raw materials, to and from multiple facilities. This role requires the operation of various vehicle types and equipment, as well as the provision of support to special projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate tractors, trailers, and material handling equipment for transfer of products to and from production areas, including multiple off-site storage locations throughout the greater Eugene and Springfield areas.
  • Ensure proper receipt, storage, picking, transfer, and delivery of materials located in ambient, freezer, and cold storages, and ensure all paperwork is properly completed and accurate.
  • Maintain compliance requirements for Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) and carefully follow all local and state mandated regulations.
  • Provide customer service and develop and maintain professional working relationships with customers both internal and external to Danone operations.
  • Actively participate in Safety by completing engagement activities and working to keep self and others safe by complying with all safety and Good Manufacturing Practices while maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Monitor health of transportation equipment and address issues or escalate to leadership for support.
  • Provide all production materials before and during a production run and return unused materials to the proper location following a production run.
  • Maintain plant FIFO throughout facility and follow warehouse standard operating procedures and standards.
  • Ensure waste/recycling materials (pallets, buckets, barrels, cardboard) are organized and placed in the appropriate location.
  • Prestage and consolidate materials on pallets to meet production and storage needs.
  • Maintain, clean, and organize warehouses and workspaces to meet plant standards.
  • Load and unload pallets of finished goods onto trailers, as needed, and materials/ingredients from trailers and hot/cold storage areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

About You

Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or GED

Experience and Skills: Minimum one year of CDL driving, forklift operation, and warehousing experience

Licenses and Certifications: Valid Oregon CDL Class A Driver's License and ability to pass a driving record check; ability to obtain a valid forklift and pallet jack operator's license (internal)
