As a Clinical Informatics Specialist, you'll play a critical role in shaping our healthcare technology landscape. This hybrid position combines clinical expertise with IT knowledge to drive the design, development, and optimization of our electronic medical record systems. Your goal will be to improve healthcare quality, efficiency, and satisfaction among clinicians and patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead IT application projects from start to testing and implementation.
  • Manage project work to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of project deliverables.
  • Assess clinical metrics to evaluate technology adoption and project success.
  • Identify opportunities for improved clinical adoption and optimization.
  • Act independently to manage and resolve workflow and technology gaps.
  • Collaborate with staff to develop and monitor electronic quality measures and Promoting Interoperability measures.
  • Participate in committees and taskforces as needed.
  • Prepare and present presentations to management and stakeholders.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing a plus.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a healthcare hospital setting.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing multiple projects involving various individuals.
  • Experience with Cerner EHR clinical documentation, clinical workflow analysis, and redesign.
  • Strong analytical abilities for collecting, managing, and analyzing organizational data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a commitment to superior quality.
  • Effective interpersonal skills for teaching technology use efficiently and securely.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare performance measurement and policy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
