Education and Career Coach

At Arizona Center for Youth Resources, we are seeking a dedicated Education and Career Coach to join our team as an Adult Basic Education Instructor. This is a fulfilling opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of youth and adults, empowering them to achieve their educational and occupational goals.
About the RoleWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced instructor who can work with students both face-to-face and virtually. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt classes to meet the needs of diverse learners and collaborate effectively with other ACYR staff to drive student success.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with ACYR's standards-based and trauma-informed instruction.
- Provide individualized support to students, helping them to overcome barriers and achieve their academic and career goals.
- Cultivate strong relationships with students, families, and community partners to foster a supportive learning environment.
- Contribute to the development of effective community partnerships, engagement, and retention strategies to meet participants' needs.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree (required)
- Experience teaching or working with youth and adult learners (essential)
- Knowledge of adult student characteristics and adult basic education content areas (desired)
- Ability to instruct students in the use of basic technology and applications to integrate into instruction (must)
We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
This is a full-time position, requiring energetic interactions between ACYR team members and students. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and be able to work independently and as part of a team. Bi-lingual/Bi-cultural candidates are preferred.
