About the Position

Hampton, Lenzini and Renwick, Inc. (HLR) is seeking a highly skilled Project Surveyor to join our team. As a Professional Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for performing boundary, topographic, ALTA, and right-of-way surveys, as well as processing data and preparing survey plats and legal descriptions.


This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits, including health insurance, dental insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off.


As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including IDOT/ISTHA projects, and will be supported in your professional development through our Pathways to Success program.


We are looking for a candidate with a PLS License in Illinois, 4+ years of experience in surveying, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about surveying, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Perform boundary, topographic, ALTA, and right-of-way surveys
  • Process data collected for boundary, topographic, ALTA, and right-of-way surveys
  • Review and prepare survey plats, subdivision plats, right-of-way plats and legal descriptions, and monument records
  • Perform monument reconnaissance, monument preservation, reestablish property and section corners
  • Read and interpret legal descriptions and title documents
  • Organize work and set priorities to meet project deadlines
  • Understand and follow safety guidelines
