Job Title: Addiction Recovery Specialist - Supportive Residential CareJob Summary:

This role involves working collaboratively with clinical team members to provide high-quality care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients. As an Addiction Recovery Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health support within an adult residential setting. This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions for substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health conditions.
  • Carefully assess participant behaviors, identifying areas requiring intervention and developing effective strategies to address these needs.
  • Evaluate participant safety and document observations accurately.
  • Orient participants to services upon entry into treatment, ensuring a seamless transition into our program.
  • PARTicipate in treatment team meetings, communicating effectively with colleagues to share knowledge and expertise.
  • Provide individualized support to participants, encouraging them to engage in daily activities and promoting overall well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records of participant progress, adhering to regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health treatment principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
  • Strong teamwork and organization/time management skills, enabling effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records and other relevant software systems.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • CDCA certification or similar recognized credential highly valued.
  • Training and knowledge of detoxification services, such as Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for opioids and other drugs, desirable.
Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:
  • Work Setting: Indoors, environmentally controlled.
  • Body Positioning: Spend time sitting and standing, making repetitive motions, using hands to handle objects, tools, or controls. Frequently lift up to 10 lbs., occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
