Cardiovascular Registered Nurse

The Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit team. As a Registered Nurse in this unit, you will provide high-quality patient care to patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, including NSTEMI and post STEMI/cardiac arrest, post-cardiac cath and acute coronary syndrome, AAA repair, atrial fibrillation, amputations, and femoral-popliteal bypass.
About the Unit:
The Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit at Mount Carmel St. Ann's is a 30-bed unit that provides care to patients with a range of cardiovascular conditions. Our team of experienced nurses and healthcare professionals work together to provide individualized care to each patient, utilizing evidence-based practice and the latest medical technology.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients, utilizing evidence-based practice
- Administer medications under the direction of the provider, according to the organization's standards, policies, procedures, and/or guidelines
- Assist in emergency situations under the direction of the provider
- Thoroughly educate and explain procedures to patients and family members (diagnosis, disease process etc.)
- Document accurately and completely pertinent assessments, interventions and outcomes for patients in accordance with documentation standards, policies, procedures and/or guidelines
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
- Current BLS/CPR
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage patient care, including delegation to and supervision of other members of the patient care team
- Basic computer skills required; prior experience using an EMR for charting preferred
