Nurse Practitioner Opportunity in Progressive Care Unit

HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a 383-bed hospital located in Bradenton, Florida. As the only state-designated Level II trauma center in Manatee, Sarasota, and DeSoto Counties, we provide 24-hour emergency care, open-heart surgery, burn care, cancer care, joint replacement, and inpatient rehabilitation services.
SalaryThe estimated salary for this Registered Nurse position is $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Progressive Care Unit. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient-centered care, collaborating with medical providers and the care team, and acting as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers.
- You will assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of patients in the Progressive Care Unit.
- You will instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- You will maintain and review patients' records, including posting tests and examination results.
- You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders.

Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- Licensure as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure.
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
- Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
- Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
